David Norman, professor emeritus of agricultural economics, has been inducted as a distinguished fellow of the African Association of Agricultural Economists (AAAE).
AAAE recognizes recipients with this distinction for their scholarly contribution and leadership in the field of agricultural economics, as well as their contributions to agriculture in Africa. Distinguished fellows often go on to speak in AAAE’s Distinguished Agricultural Economist Lecture Series.
Norman served as an active faculty member within the agricultural economics department for nearly 40 years, retiring in 2007.
The Department of Agricultural Economics proudly lives the Kansas State University land-grant mission by serving agriculture and related fields through teaching, research, and extension outreach. Celebrating 100 years of service in 2012, the department has a long-standing tradition of excellence among its students, graduates, faculty, staff, extension personnel, and the agricultural community at large.
