Bryon Parman, Ph.D. student in agricultural economics, presented at the International Conference on Environmental, Cultural, Social and Economic Sustainability at New Zealand’s University of Waikato.

He studied if and how algae biodiesel may affect food commodity prices in “Third Generation Biofuels and the Food vs. Fuel Debate.”

Parman’s co-authors include Vincent Amanor-Boadu, associate professor of agribusiness economics and management, and Peter H. Pfromm, professor of chemical engineering. The article has been submitted to the International Journal of Environmental, Cultural, Social and Economic Sustainability.
